CCTV ‘shows Hamas taking hostages into al-Shifa hospital’

Israel releases footage as hopes rise over deal to free 240 captives

Israel released footage of what it said were Hamas militants carrying hostages into Gaza’s biggest hospital amid hopes that a deal was close to release the 240 captives held by the terrorist organisation.

Israel also released footage purporting to show a tunnel used by Hamas militants underneath Gaza’s al-Shifa hospital, representing the culmination of a four-day operation there that has attracted widespread global condemnation.

According to the Israel Defence Forces (IDF), the two hostages were Thai and Nepalese citizens, one of whom was seen wounded and carried on a stretcher, while the other was rushed through corridors on foot.
