The much trumpeted indoor golf league fronted by Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy has been postponed until 2025.
The high-tech TGL simulator project featuring 24 of the world’s top players had been due to launch on January 9, but has been pushed back after the roof of the 2,000-capacity SoFi Center in Florida collapsed last week because of a power outage.
Drone cameras showed the scale of the damage to the inflatable dome on the Palm Beach State College campus and TGL chiefs have now decided there is no other option but to delay the launch. “The postponement brings mixed feelings of disappointment and excitement,” McIlroy said. “Above all, we are happy that no one was injured.
