How a dark, cramped house was transformed into a light-filled industrial space

When you enter Anna Anderson’s house you might be forgiven for thinking you have walked into a New York loft apartment. Yet the home she shares with her husband, Sam Hampson, and their dog is a terraced three-bedroom Victorian house on an unassuming street in Hammersmith, west London.
“My dad lives in New York and he has an amazing loft in Manhattan, so that was a real influence,” she says. “I was drawn to the brickwork, the industrial feel and how they use metal there.”
