The Sphere venue drives Las Vegas motorists around the bend
Inside the Sphere, the latest attraction in Las Vegas, U2 were performing to open a venue touted as the future of concerts.
As Bono launched into hit songs including One and With or Without You, the awestruck audience watched in amazement as the world’s largest video screen displayed one visually stunning sequence after another.
However, while the Sphere captivates those inside the $2.3 billion venue, it also has the unfortunate side-effect of distracting many outside, thanks to exterior screens capable of dazzling displays visible from across the desert. Motorists mesmerised by the 110m-tall ball are slowing down to take a look, posing a risk to other drivers.
Dominic Mirasol, a guide with the Las Vegas-based tour company Adrenaline Junkies, has said that distracted motorists
