MCC chairman Bruce Carnegie-Brown will not seek second term

Bruce Carnegie-Brown has announced that he will not seek a second term as MCC chairman after it was revealed that members were plotting to oust him.
The 63-year-old said that he would stand down from the position, which is not remunerated, “with sadness” next October, citing pressure of work in his other role, as chairman of Lloyds of London. “I have come to the conclusion that this time is more than I am currently able to give in addition to my other commitments,” he said.
