Every few years — 2015, 2019, and now again in 2023 — I’ve had occasion to lecture Leonardo DiCaprio about his private life. Essentially, as he gets older, the age of his girlfriend stays the same. This approach was embarrassing enough when he’d not long turned 40 and was photographed on a beach in St Barts surrounded by, at my painstaking count, seven young women in bikinis, some of whom were barely half his age. Now, he’s just thrown a 49th birthday party for himself and nothing much has changed.
