Dave Stewart review — revisiting the Eurythmics hits without Annie Lennox
Who’s that girl? Well none of the three women taking turns to sing the classic hits of Eurythmics is Annie Lennox. And nor, indeed, is the fourth who comes on late to propel the crowd through Sisters Are Doin’ It for Themselves — that’s Beverley Knight, full of Tina Turner-esque fire.
When 50 per cent of the Eurythmics partnership decided she wasn’t up for touring, Stewart’s novel answer was to recruit a cast of eight young female musicians.
