The family of Captain Sir Tom Moore will be forced to demolish an unauthorised home spa at their grade II listed property after they lost a planning row with council officials.

Hannah Ingram-Moore, 53, the youngest daughter of the late veteran and fundraiser, and her husband, Colin, 66, applied in 2021 for permission to build a spa pool in the garden of their £1.2 million home in Bedfordshire.

The couple named the Captain Tom Foundation on the initial planning application and said the building would be used to support the charity’s work.
