Ben Earl could miss start of 2024 Six Nations with knee injury
The England and Saracens No 8 could be out for up to three months — which would mean missing the opening two games of the tournament, against Italy and Wales
Ben Earl is at risk of missing the start of England’s 2024 Six Nations campaign, having suffered a knee injury that could keep him out for up to three months.
Earl was England’s star of the recent World Cup in France. He became the starting No 8 and helped his side to finish third at the tournament.
However, the 25-year-old suffered the injury on his return to his club, Saracens. It is understood that Earl is awaiting a final diagnosis — which should come on Tuesday morning — but there are fears he could be out for 12 weeks, having damaged ligaments in his right knee before his side’s Gallagher Premiership match against Harlequins.
