6 ways to prepare your garden for winter

As we sit on the edge of winter, with those delightful golden moments mixed with days of driving rain, we realise there are only weeks, if not days to get the garden ready for winter. Here’s what we’re doing to prepare.

The dahlias are still a riot of colour and growth — like us they know it is all about to be over. Make sure you name your dahlias, because it is impossible to tell which variety they are once the frosts come. We name individual plants by tying a label around the base of the thickest stem.
