A video of two youths’ last stand has gone viral as the Russian authorities in Berdyansk confirmed their deaths
Two teenage boys have been hailed as heroes in Ukraine after they were killed in an apparent gunfight with Russian security forces in the occupied city of Berdyansk.
A video clip that emerged at the weekend shows a wounded Tihran Ohannisian, 16, blood on one hand and cradling a Kalashnikov across his lap, singing his nation’s praises after a clash in which two Russians may also have lost their lives.
“Two for sure, that’s death, guys. Farewell! Glory to Ukraine!” he says to the camera, breathing heavily and raising a clenched fist.
Russian authorities in Berdyansk confirmed they had killed Ohannissian and a classmate, Mykyta Khanhanov, 16, on Saturday. They described the boys as “pro-Ukrainian terrorists” who had killed a civilian.
