Train strikes in December 2023: all dates and lines affected

Aslef plans walkouts on six days

Train drivers will walk out in a series of one-day strikes next month as part of a long-running dispute over pay.

The action by Aslef, which represents 98 per cent of train drivers, will take place across six days, with different lines affected each day. All Aslef members will also refuse to work any overtime from Friday, December 1 to Saturday, December 9. The union has promised to “ratchet up the pressure” as its dispute with the government rumbles on.

The industrial action is part of a dispute involving rail unions over pay, possible job cuts, and working conditions that has led to frequent walkouts since June last year.
