Madness
Theatre of the Absurd Presents C’est La Vie
★★★★☆
Ever since a generation of British kids did silly dances around the playground while singing along to Baggy Trousers in the early Eighties, Madness have been hiding sophisticated music under a veneer of carefree abandon.

There are shades of the Kinks’s music hall nostalgia to their latest, a concept album of sorts about the absurdity of the modern age.
