Taylor Swift paid tribute to a fan who died before a concert in Rio de Janeiro as she returned to the stage in Brazil on Sunday night.

Ana Clara Benevides, 23, died of a cardiac arrest on Friday after being taken unwell at the venue.

The concert was being held during a heatwave in Brazil. A heat index, which combines temperature with humidity, reached 59.3C, the highest ever recorded, as more than 40,000 fans filled the cavernous stadium in Rio de Janeiro.
