It is an odd thing that despite Katie Taylor’s chronic allergy to any press conference draining any real meaning from them, her last three post-fight engagements still captured the mood. Back in April 2022, Madison Square Garden was buzzing so hard after her fight with Amanda Serrano that the most battle-worn boxing hacks applauded with the packed ranks of fanboys with cameras when Taylor arrived, exhausted and bleeding, but excited.
