In the Nineties, London Fashion Week was full of Britpop rockers. These days its gatekeepers still let a few behind the velvet rope — providing, it seems, they bring along their much cooler kids.
That’s right: the moment that comes for every parent has arrived for Gen X It girls and boys. They may still be hip for their age group, but don’t look quite so with-it when standing next to their Gen Z sprogs. Don’t believe me? Just look at Damon and Missy Albarn. He’s the 55-year-old Blur boy who can still sell out Wembley — but his 23-year-old daughter got an invitation to Burberry’s catwalk show on Monday afternoon too.
